This evenings practical evening was designed for the members to come along with a few flowers fresh or dried from garden or hedgerow and the club provided everything else. The idea was inspired by using surplus items that the club had been storing over lockdown, including the wispy ends of dried willow unable to be used in Winchester Cathedrals flower festival last year.

Workshop leaders were Marina Dewey and Bernice Blandford who both demonstrated the container construction and showed the variations that could be utilised to hold flowers albeit the covering of tubes or a jam jar secured within.

Sixteen members took up the challenge and produced a lovely display of light and airy designs of which Marina kindly summed up at the end of the evening, all of which can be viewed below.
