One of Graham King's arrangements

Virtual Club Meeting, Thursday 18th February 2021 

Tonight, was the Club's very first virtual meeting via Zoom.  The Committee had discussed how they could put on a programme of demonstrations and workshops for members this year, within the current Covid restrictions and lockdown, also our meeting hall is being used as a vaccination centre, the only option was to embrace Zoom.  Our programme officer, Joy Crees, was tasked with finding demonstrators who were now able to do their presentations via Zoom.  Joy has done an excellent job and we now have a programme of virtual demonstrators and workshops booked until August.

This evening we enjoyed a very competent presentation by one the Club's favourite arrangers, Graham King.  He not only produced four stunning arrangements but also showed us how he crafted all the containers he used.  We were delighted with the support we had from members and visitors to our first Zoom demonstration having 67 participants watching Graham from his shed.  Our Chairman, Sue Gibbons, said: "It was good to get together after a year, albeit virtually, and see a talented floral designer at work, it was very inspiring."

Our next demonstration by Helen Hare is booked for Thursday 18th March starting at 7.45pm.  Guests are very welcome for a fee of £3.00 and if  you would like to join us for this virtual demonstration, please contact via email: info@fleetflowerclub.co.uk
