Wreath of Hope - April 2020
During this Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, children have been making rainbow pictures and placing them in their windows for people to see on their daily exercise. In folklore the rainbow has always been, amongst other things, a symbol of hope, the calm after the storm.
One of the members of NAFAS, Katherine Kear, Area Chairman, Three Counties & South Wales, has been thinking about these rainbow pictures and how as an Association we could use our homes and skills to send out a message of hope during this time of lockdown due to the pandemic. She is hoping for members to make a ring and add green ribbon and put it for the duration on their front doors or in a prominent place. The ring symbolises unending and everlasting love, the cycle of life and hope. Green is for renewal, balance and progress.
